Did you know that when you use the pre-determined tip percentage on a payment machine you are 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗦𝗧 or other taxes?In the photo attached:The bill for total cost of food and drinks is: $𝟵𝟬.𝟱𝟬
The HST (taxes) is : $𝟭𝟭.𝟳𝟳
The total bill is: $𝟭𝟬𝟮.𝟮𝟳When I tipped 15% using the pre-determined percentage on the machine, it worked out to: $𝟭𝟱.𝟯𝟰 which is 𝟭𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 $𝟭𝟬𝟮.𝟳𝟳 and 𝗡𝗢𝗧 $𝟵𝟬.𝟱𝟬.If I were to tip on the actual cost of food and drinks, the tip would have been 𝟭𝟱% 𝗼𝗻 $𝟵𝟬.𝟱𝟬: $𝟭𝟯.𝟱𝟳
